We went to Khao Keaw Open Zoo hoping to see the famous baby hippo, Moo Deng. Of course, we didn’t see it because of the crowd, but the zoo was better than we expected. Zoos might not be that modern of an idea anymore, but at least in an open zoo like this, it’s nice to see the animals roaming around, not stuck in cages. Still, some of them looked a bit lonely, especially the rare ones that don’t belong in this climate. Seeing them in a small air-conditioned room felt kind of sad.

Bangsaen was nice. Watching people enjoy life outdoors is something you don’t see much in Bangkok. It felt freeing, unlike in Bangkok, where the river seems like it only belongs to private properties, the sea here felt like it belonged to everyone.
