Bangkok, Thailand
Updated myself on Bangkok's "coolest" neighborhood, Song Wat. I didn't expect to see so many new shops opening up. On the hottest day, people still made the effort to dress up and pose for photos, I respect that.

Trying to escape the sun, I wandered through small alleys between Song Wat and Yaowarat, where I saw the real locals who actually live there. Bangkok struggles to blend old and new, the contrast can feel awkward. While the shopfronts try to match the old buildings, the businesses themselves feel disconnected from the area: ceremonial matcha cafés, specialty coffee spots, fragrance shops, hip home decor. Even the posters and design objects feel out of place.

I don’t have the answer though, just an observation from walking around.
