It was a typical cycling day, but today, instead of taking my usual route to the left, I turned right. That’s when I saw a group of mounted police on standby to greet the King. I parked my bike and approached them, asking if I could take pictures. They let me inside the gate and said, “You can come take in front.”

A bit surprised by how welcoming the high-ranking officers were, I thanked them and stepped inside. One of the generals explained where the horses were imported from, which ones were the oldest, and which were on duty for the first time. There was also a horse doctor making sure all the horses were okay. The young ones were noticeably more excited than the experienced ones.

It was nice to slow down and focus on one subject while shooting. I hope I can do something like this more often.
